What should I check before hiring a jumping castle?

Hiring a jumping castle is great fun and keeps everyone entertained at parties and events. If you’ve never hired a jumping castle before, you might be unsure of what you need to do before you hire or even dismiss the idea as too difficult. Don’t!

Here is a checklist of some of the basic things you need to check and some of our requirements before and during a jumping castle booking.

Required area to install the jumping castle
All of the jumping castles listed on our website show a size of the jumping castle. Be sure to measure your garden or proposed area to ensure we can safely install the jumping castle.

Surface types for jumping castles
We can install our jumping castles indoors, outdoors and on most surface types includes grass, concrete, bitumen etc. However if the jumping castle is not going on grass, mats and blocks will be required. Just remember to advise us in your booking, and update us if anything changes.

We won’t install our jumping castles on sand, dirt, rocks or other sharp surfaces.

Power requirements for your jumping castle hire
“How much power do you need to for the jumping castle?” is one of the most frequently asked questions. All of our jumping castles operate on standard 10 amp power points (household outlets).

One important note to remember is that power boards and double adaptors will more often than not, trip blower fans and sensitive equipment therefore we do not recommend them.

Contacting your jumping castle hire company
How difficult is it to contact your jumping castle hire company? Either before, during or after a booking? We pride ourselves on customer service and offer our clients a host of ways to contact us.

Throughout the booking process and leading up to your event, we’ll contact you on numerous occasions to confirm your booking  and supply you with relevant information for the day. Be sure to check any correspondence and get in touch if you have any questions leading up to the event.

On the day of your event
Some important information to assist our drivers includes:

  • Keep access to your proposed site CLEAR! Move any cars, bikes, trailers, caravans, toys, trampolines, rubbish and anything else that prevents us from easily accessing the installation area for your jumping castle
  • Have your power outlets ready. We supply our own tested and tagged extension leads so you don’t need to fret about having any. As long as you know where we can plug in our fans as soon as our driver asks, it’s easy!
  • If you have pets, please ensure you’ve cleaned the yard of toys and more importantly, “poop”. Kids shouldn’t be jumping around in it and we certainly don’t want to be rolling around in it either or have our jumping castles covered in it.
  • Whilst you may have the best intentions, our jumping castle installers have been professionally trained and meet certain insurance requirements. Please don’t try and assist or get in the way. The quickest way to get your bouncy castle ready to bounce on is to let us do our job
